James “Jim” M. Lamoreaux, 71, of Greenwich, OH lived his entire life on Boughtonville Road until his big move to Heaven on Monday, April 22, 2024. He was born to the late Dale and Wilma (Cole) Lamoreaux in 1952.
Jim was a 1971 graduate of South Central High School, where he played football, basketball, and baseball. After graduating, he enlisted in the Air National Guard, where he spent 6 years serving his country. Jim worked construction, working several years at ACME Paving and Sealing. He retired as a Greenwich Village employee, where he proudly served his community.
Jim was an avid sports fan, rooting for the Browns, Indians, and most importantly, the South Central Trojans. His license plate indicated his loyalty as a fan of SC Sports. He served on the SC Football chain crew for 49 years, only ending his career due to his illness.
Jim’s love of the Lord only intensified as his diagnosis of ALS progressed. He loved God, his family, and his friends. Jim’s favorite place to be was in the woods, running his chainsaw, or driving his nieces and nephews on his 4-wheeler. His tractors were his prized possessions.
Jim is survived by his brother Gene (Sandy) Lamoreaux, sister, Lucille (Dan) Hartman, sister Linda Teglovic, sister Denise (Michael) Robinson, sister Lynette (Bryan) Hamman, and brother Frank (Kelly) Lamoreaux, along with 13 nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Danielle, and his nephew, Ryan S. Teglovic.
